Sour Cream and Raisin Cookies

This is Dad’s grandmother Camblin’s famous recipe. It was Dad’s absolute favorite cookies. They are more like cakes really.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Soak raisins for several hours or overnight. Mix all ingredients.
  2. (Dad noted on the handwritten recipe that one should break the eggs and mix contents only!)
  3. Chill dough overnight.
  4. (We found this out by experimentation.)
  5. Drop by large table spoons on greased cookie sheet.
  6. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Bank 15-20 minutes in 350 degrees oven.
